Use this when anything gets too close and Diamond Skin is not ready yet. (3)- Teleport // Fracture: This will save your life constantly. It's not critical which Hydra you use, as long as you have one because you need something to do damage while you move. Venom is the best combination of damage and range, and works particularly well on The Butcher boss in Act 1, who may or may not be vulnerable to poison. It doesn't sound glamorous, but it works, and you will be the last one standing while people warp in on you. When you can't, you cast Hydra and run in circles. It gets mediated in multiplayer when you have *cough*ideally*cough* good tanks, and can stand still long enough to use your more powerful abilities. This is the Wizards biggest difficulty in the game. (2)- Hydra // Venom Hydra: When you reach the higher difficulties, you will find that a lot of the time you cannot stand still in order to attack. This ability is really handy when a waller or vortex enemy nabs you, and Teleport has not refreshed yet. Higher damage absorption means it ultimately ends up lasting longer. This is because the ability either ends after time duration or damage sustained. Enduring Skin ends up having a shorter duration because it peaks out on damage really quick. This becomes especially obvious in multiplayer where enemies hit really hard. However, Crystal Shell is a better choice on the higher difficulties simply because it absorbs quite a bit more damage, which is more important than the length the ability is active. Many people already using a build like this will substitute Crystal Shell for Enduring Skin. Diamond skin is the Wizard's ignore damage skill. Anytime anything gets too close to you, hit this. (1)- Diamond Skin // Crystal Shell: This is you're emergency button. Do this right and you can come out of fights without even taking damage. Coupled with better gear allowing for higher armor and dps ratings, this build is a force of nature, even on Inferno difficulty, provided you know how to play the class. In order to not loose all of your gold and potions, and in order to gain some ground in the game on the higher difficulties you need to not be dying. This build begins by filling your inventory.
